Sun Tv's 93.5 Red FM


Sun TV started its journey in April 1993 with four and a half hours a day time sharing with ATN Network.  Sun TV Network is an Rs.16000 Crore, Indian Cable Television based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and India

Today, it is second largest television network in India, with 20 channels and 43 FM radios in several Indian languages. It is world's no.1 Tamil channel that features movies, news, serials and shows -- 24 hours a day.

It has control over 50,000 hours of original content, which is an essential driver for any media company. It also has a presence in South Africa, Australia, Europe, USA, Canada and Asia.

Its serials and soaps have generated the maxim TRP for viewership all over India, making it the most popular network of channel in India. Sun Direct, which already enjoys subscriber’s base of 1.3 million, hopers to mark its presence across the country by the end of October this year.

Sun Direct which is a 80: 20 joint venture between the Kalanidhi Maran family and the Astro Group of Malaysia. Sun Direct is the fastest growing DTH provider in the country; the company aims to have a subscriber base of 3 million by the end of the fiscal 2008 – 09. In order to achieve pan – India presence, Sun is now strengthening its distribution infrastructure across India. Sun Direct also has plans to launch high – Definitions TV (HDTV)

FM RADIO:
Sun Network entry in to radio business started with Suryan FM five years ago in Chennai. Currently Suryan FM is considered as No.1 radio station in Tamil Nadu based on the last NRS results 93.5 RED FM heralds the groups entry into FM radio business across North, South, East and West with close to 45 radio stations in India. This also makes S FM one of the largest private FM Network in India.

93.5 RED FM through 45 stations would cover close to 1000 towns and 50000 villages across India, from Jabalpur in the north to Thiruvananthapuram in the south and from Nashik in the west to Asansol in the east. A network which will reach 200 million across the country.

Recent Developments:
