PROFILE OF ROAD TRANSPORT IN KARNATAKA STATE

The post independence, India passed a great challenge before the administrators and policy makers of land  as most of the basic amenities as electricity, transportation education, commerce, banking, insurance, communication and mass-media etc., were still either under developed or in the rudimentary stage at the most one such amenity which was of tremendous import during those days was that of the provision of better road, transportation to the masses leaving aside the rail water and air transportation which lie outside the financial purview of a commoner.
