About Anchor Company :
It was way back in 1963, when two brothers Jadhavji shah and Damji shah founded Anchor by inventing India’s 1st Piano Switch. The rest as they say is history. We had one aspect very clear in our minds: to produce quality and not just products. Because we know that products can be manufactured, it takes nothing less than impeccable quality to create value.

The path chosen paid rich dividends. Today, Anchor is one of the largest manufactures of wiring devices and allied products in the world. Anchor is today a complete electrical solution provider in low voltage electrification.

Very soon Anchor became a household name. In fact we were the only national brand in electrical switches and accessories and had become generic for the product category. In the process, we had acquired over 70% of the market share.

MANUFACTURE:
Anchor’s manufacturing facilities are spread over 1.5 million square feet across 4 region comprising of 17 factories employing over 7000 people. These facilities use state-of-the-art machinery from leading manufactures including Nextrom and Buss of Switzerland, Demag and NieHoff of Germany.

With over 180 injection moulding machines and 200 hydraulic moulding machines, Anchor has the largest moulding facility in south Asia and one of the largest in the world. The facility is complimented with one of the finest R & D center in India employing over 250 dedicated engineers. The 4 tool rooms at Anchor has over 30 CAD / CAM work station and multi Axis CNC machining centers using the most sophisticated software.

Today Anchor manufacture over 1 million switches and components every day making it one of the largest manufactures of switches and wiring devices in the world. Anchor also manufactures virtually all components and raw material, from urea formaldehyde to metal parts to sophisticated electronic parts, in-house.
