The Merlinhawk group corporate philosophy was to confine to niche segments of the business they are most intimately familiar with by leveraging on the group’s technological strengths and domain knowledge in these segments. The Engineering division of Merlinhawk is engaged in providing value added sales and technical services in aviation, microwave and test and measuring instrument product segments representing renowned manufacturers from USA, France, UK, Germany and Russia.

Merlinhawk Aerospace, through in-house research and development, embarked upon designing and manufacturing specialty products for application in aerospace and defence services. The group later diversified into medical equipment distribution through its fully owned subsidiary Browndove Healthcare.

Further, by way of equity holdings in Ibex Engineering, a wholly export oriented Aluminium die casting and tools manufacturing firm and in Matrix Mechatronics, a company engaged in indigenous development of advance technology for defence sector, Merlinhawk group is poised for impressive growth in the domestic as well as global markets in the years ahead

The Engineering division of Merlinhawk comprises of Aviation, Microwave and Test & Measurement products and is managed by a team of qualified sales and service engineers and management professionals proficient in their respective areas of specialization

AVIATION

Aviation division’s core focus has been vibration monitoring, analysis and management on rotary and fixed wing propeller aircraft. Having been closely associated with the aviation industry in India for over 19 years, Merlinhawk has become a respectable player in the aviation market not only in the Indian sub-continent but also in the overseas markets in Southeast Asia and Russia. Over the years Merlinhawk has worked on many types of rotary winged aircraft such as Lama / Alouette, ALH, Mi-Series, Kamov Series, Sea King, Bell Series, etc and fixed wing aircraft as Dornier, Dash, ATRs, AN-32.

MICROWAVE

The Microwave Division at Merlinhawk concentrates on specialty applications and telecommunication. Core focus in specialty applications is millimeter wave where Merlinhawk offer custom designed components and solutions to suit customer needs extending from subsystems to full systems. The Microwave Division also delivers custom designed antennas for complex applications and waveguide dryer solutions for military and commercial applications.

ENGINEERING SERVICES

Merlinhawk as a value added re-seller with a high degree of commitment to the customer responds to all requirements right from identifying the configuration to installation, on-site training and technical support.

Service engineers are available on call through out the year and provide annual maintenance contracts. Stocks are maintained of all accessories and spares for in and out warranty replacements and the Aviation Division also offers standby equipment, when available. At the service center in Bangalore or at the customer site, calibration services are provided extending to repair and maintenance for all equipment including customization of software.

A comprehensive power quality analysis and failure analysis survey is provided at customer sites to locate problems. Pre-site inspection services are provided to ensure that the site is problem free.

AEROSPACE

With the knowledge and expertise gained in servicing the aviation industry, Merlinhawk has embarked on an in-house research, design and development of software and hardware related to Health Usage and Monitoring Systems, Rotor Track Vibration Warning Systems compliant to FAA / CAA standards in quality and performance. It also deals with power start up devices for aircraft and other applications where the conservation of residual power on aircraft is critical. These and other products in the development pipeline will provide a major thrust to Merlinhawk’s growth in the domestic as well as the sizable global market.

IBEX ENGINEERING

Merlinhawk has acquired significant stake and controlling interest in Ibex Engineering, a fully export oriented company engaged in Aluminum die casting and precision machining. Ibex Engineering is a fast track TS 16949 certified manufacturing company based in Bangalore and exports regularly to UK, USA, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.

Specializing in pressure die cast and precision machined products, Merlinhawk and Ibex are entering into a joint venture partnership with UK based HCM Ltd for design, manufacture and export of die-cast tools to UK. A state-of-the-art plant with modern facilities is being set up near Bangalore.
