Casual Leave:

The following table represents entitlement of casual leave as shown below.

Casual leave can be availed for a minimum of one day to a maximum of three days at one time.

Casual leave shall not be granted in combination with any other leave.

Privilege Leave:

Workers should work for a minimum of 240 days in a year for earning leave with wages for the following year.

Special leave availed by the employee during the year. Leave with wages is granted at the rate of one day for every 20 days attendance.

Privilege leave can be accumulated up to a maximum of 90 days.

Privilege leave can be availed in a maximum of 3 spells in a calendar year. However in case of exigencies, request for the 4 spells can also be considered by the Functional head.

Privilege leave can be availed of only its dues sanction by the sanctioning authority. It is also sanctioned excluding Sundays & holidays as per factories Act.

Application for privilege leave must be made at least 14 days in advance before the expiry of the leave initially granted.

Housing Facilities

Housing is one of the basic necessities all the employees are provided with rent, free accommodation as per their grade of employment 7 types of housing is there.

The company has a residential township located within easily walk able distance from work place.

The company is providing 120 units of free electricity to the workman, staff up to assist officer, & officer, job 14-165 units of free electricity.

Canteen Facility

Rajashree Cement WorksCement Works provides the canteen facility. It serves tea, wholesome nutritious hot meals & snack at subsidized rate to all the employees. To avail the facility employees have to called canteen coupon (meal card from personal & welfare officer department or time officer near security department.

Appreciate employees, trainees & visiting guests are also using this facility.

Township dispensary:

In the dispensary of Rajashree Cement Works Cement Works factory three doctors and nurses with bedded well equipped hospital is established inside the township and an two ambulance is provided to meet the emergencies in the factory. This facility is provided to meet the medical need of employees & their families residing in the colony.

Medical facility

The medical treatment facilities to employees & their family member & parents reimbursement of amount. All the employees are covered under the insurance facility of Rs.100000/- per family from national insurance company.

If employees meets accident inside of the company or on duty hours means the company will give free treatment for mini’s department – full free treatments tablets.

Medical examination is free all tests are free they are – ECG, IPD, Lab, X-Ray, and spoidomatery (Lung), Adiometro (ears).

In near villages attend the camps, (eyes and etc)

Every day 5 workers test will conduct.

In order to see that the employees leisure hours after the routine & regular work in plan. Sports & other recreational amenities have been provided by the company.

Rajashree Cement Works Cement Works factory has well stocked library & a reading room with many periodicals & news paper for the purpose of cultural programmes they have also provided auditorium.

Educational Facilities

Education facilities is within the colony itself i.e., Aditya Birla School education imparted English medium (Central Syllabus) within the colony.

This is provided through a subsidized school from kinder garden to high school level. The qualified teachers are appointed and they provided good education as compared to the other school. The children’s of employees are charged nominal fees. The company is providing well-equipped school buildings, play grouped reports room and materials.

Basic Facilities

Banking Facility:

Banking facility is available in the township with the extension counter of HDFC bank & Canara Bank. Now the company pays the salary through bank and made essential of a full fledged market complex within the township.

Guest House Facility:

For the purpose of the trainees who comes from far distance the company has provided bachelor’s hostel. So that they can stay and complete three training in the company.

There are four types of Guest House’s are there

Sthakar Guest house: These houses are made for the VIP persons.

Sawagat Guest House: These houses are made for the officer’s, Manager & above.

Sanman Guest House: These houses is made for the assistant manager & deputy manager.

Young Manager Guest House: These house is made only for Bachelor’s

Shelter Rest and Lunch Room:

According to sec. 47 of factories Act in a factory where more than 150 workers are ordinarily employed should make adequate and suitable arrangement for shelter or rest room, lunch room with provision of drinking water where the workers could take meals brought by them.

Rajashree Cement Works Cement Works Factory has provided well equipped rest room lunch room and shelter for the employees.

Uniform, Shoe and Helmet Facility

Yearly uniform and a shoe facility are provided to the union category employees at the beginning of the year and there is no uniform for the trainees and temporary labour. But they should wear shoe and helmet compulsory.

Petrol Facility:

The facility of petrol filling is provided to the employees at the market rate credit coupons are issued to the employees on demand and cost is recovered from their salary.

Dearness allowances

DA is payable to the artisans according to the “All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI)”. The base DA is Rs.3070 per month. The existing FDS is merged with the revised basic pays.

Annual Increments to Workers:

Normal increments to workers are sanctioned provided they completed 188 days attendance in the previous year and if they have not been awarded any punishment with holding their increments. Some special concession are also given to workers with long service where they fall short of the attendance of 188 days as per guidelines in case of new entrants, they should have 8 months of the service in the previous year should have been confirmed and also have a minimum of 160 days attendance.

Societies:

Credit Co-operative Society:

This was started to give the financial Assistances to the employee. Recoverable on easy installments and the members of the society is voluntary its maximum loans is available to the member the amount is recovered from the salary in easy installments with the interest rate of 125 per annum the members of the society elect the executive

Retirement Benefits:

Provident Fund Act 1952:

All the employees of company are eligible. Employee rate of contribution is 12% of basic salary or 8.33% to employed pension fund A/c & 3.67%, P.F. A/c as employees A/c maximum excelling of Rs.6500/- directly deducted from the salary and equal contribution is made from the company.

EPF = 6500 x 8.300 [This rate fixed by EPF Organization]

EDLI [Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Governed Under the Act 1976]

EDLI is applicable only employer if the employer workers up to 10 year (eligibility) they will get the “EDLI”.

ESI [Employees State Insurance Act 1948]

It introduced for the welfare of the employees [1948 Act] employees contribution 1.75 percentage.

Total usages on his gross salary excluding washing allowances employer will contribute 4.75% on gross salary.

The employee he getting less then 1500/- and excluding washing allowance means he will covered under the ESI Act.

Bonus Act 1965

The company will give bonus the salary must be below 10,000/- they will get 8.33% of bonus. The company will give maximum 20% of bonus within 9 months the bonus must be paid.

OHSAS:

Means occupational health & safety assessment series. This gives the requirements for the organization to control the risk and assist in promoting occupational health & safety management system. An OHSAS specification mainly revolves around.

Establishing OH & S management system to eliminate the hazards and minimize the risks to the employees and other interested parties.

Non-Conformance:

Any deviation from the normal practice or procedure. Hitherto, through conventional safety practices we were recognizing physical hazards and unsafe condition/ unsafe acts that were existing in our environment to prevent accidents. The risks while carrying out the work was not recognized, due to which accidents are occurring. In OHSAS systems hazards are analyzed and risks are evaluated and they are brought to an acceptable or tolerable level and OH & S programme is evolved. The significant risks that have been emerged through risk evaluation have been taken as a task to prepare an operational control procedure or taken as an objective to minimize the significant risk and bring it to an acceptable level.

The DH’s/ SH’s / Supervisors are requested to communicate the control procedure prepared for the activities having significant risks to the workmen down the level in order to control the activity in a safe manner.
