Goa it is called in India it is smallest state in this country. It is biggest tourist place in entire country.

Date of Formation :: 30th May, 1987.
Area : 3,710 sq.km.
Capital City of Goa is Panaji.
Neighboring States : Karnataka, Maharashtra, Arabian Sea.
Population Minimum to Maximum : 14,00,000
Males : 7,50,000
Females : 6,50,000, Urban Pop : 50%, Population Density : 370, Sex Ratio is 990.
Literacy : 85.00%, males are 90.00% and females are 77.00%.

Goa State No. of Districts are 02 these are above
North Goa and South Goa.
Villages are in Goa State 359 and towns are 44.

Industries : Mining industries, small scale industries like breweries, fruit canning, fish canning, stoves automobile batteries, printing press, computer peripherals, zip fastner, etc.,
Agricultural Products : Rice, pulses, ragi, groundnut, maize, jowar, bajra, sugar cane, coconut, cashewnut, arecanut, pineapple, mango, banana.

Transport and Communications :
Road Length is National Highway 224 km, state highways are 232 km, district roads are 815 km, Railway length is Goa is liked with Mumbai, Mangalore and Thiruvananthapuram through the Konkan railway, Main railway stations are Margoa, Canacona, Balli, Verna, Karmali, Thivim, Pernem and Airports are Dabolim International Air port 30 kilo meters from panaji city. Chief or main port is mormugao, dona paula.

Tourist Destinations :
Goa is known for its numerous beaches such as Bogmalo, Calangute, Colva, Mandrem, Morjim, Anjuna, Baga, Candolim, Sinquerim, Majorda, Benaulim, Varca, Agonda and Vagator.

Old Goa has the Basilica of born Jesus, where the casket containing the body of st.Francis Xavier, the apostle of Goa is housed.

Other Shrines : The Se Cathedral and the Assissi Church. A few km away is Ponda, where the Mangueshi Siva Temple, the santhadurga temple, Jama Masjid Sanguem, Safa Shahouri Masjid build by Adil Shah at Bijapur, Namazgarh Mosue Bilcholim hill, Shri Ramnath temple and the Manguesh Temple are situated.

Waterfalls : The Aravelam waterfalls adjacent to it is Rudreshwara temple and interesting rock cut caves, the Mayem lake, the Dudsagar waterfalls little downward is the Devil’s Canyon suitable for trekkers and hikers.

Wild life : The Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Cotigoa wildlife sanctuary, molem national park, Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary, the mormugaon harbour.

Forts : Tiracol built by Marathas in 1745, Cabo da Rama juts into the sea, Cabo now governor’s house, Reis Mangos named after Biblical Magi Kings who owned this place and the Aguada Fort built by Portuguese between 1609 to 1612 now used as central prison.

Dona Paula an elevated place with good water surrounding well known location for films and is located between the rocks of Mandovi and Zuari.

Cuisine : Sweets, Bebinca, Dodol, Sanna, Delicacies : Bangra, Pork vindaloo, sorpotel, acuti, chourisso.

Education :
Total Schools are 1537, Colleges are 39 and Universities are only 1.
