SPRAY DRYER TO TILES

It converts the liquid slip to dust form. Here the capacity of spray dryer is 150T/day at 450degreeC and at 480degreeC the capacity is 180T/day it consumes 4000 It’s of slip per hour. As shown in the figure the main parts of spray dryer are described as follows:


DRYING CHAMBER :

Drying chamber is cylindrical at top & conical at bottom. The drying chamber is constructed with 2S.S. plate inside & outside & between these two plates the glass wall is kept for heat resistance temperature inside is very high.


BURNER BLOCK AND REDUCER:

This burner block &firing reducer is vertical & round shape in B.C.L. the , firing is done by natural gas which has very high calorific value, produces minimum smoke & economic First the gas supplied by the pipe reaches through survomotors & both (AIR) mix in the block & combustion occurs it is constructed with silica brick. Kynite brick & sillimanite brick.


CYCLONE CHAMBER:

In B.C.L main exhaust connected with spray dryer. With cyclone chamber. There are 4 cyclone chambers the exhaust fan sick the fine dust through cyclone chamber.


SPRAY GUN:

In B.C.L there are 8 spray guns, each having 2 nozzles is 2.6min.The main function of spray gun is to have fine spray of slip.


OPERATION:

First of all the slip is passed from feeding tank to the spray dryer with the help of plunger pump. Here the spray dryer is Nozzle atomization, so the slip is sprayed from the nozzle & due to high temperature inside dryer, the fine dust is taken on the Vibro at the lower end & through belt convey or it passes to bucket elevator & through it goes to silo’s(viz,A.C.B.C.DE.F)

Outlet temperature :: 103degreeC

Block mix temperature :: 450degreeC

Cyclone temperature :: 106degreeC

Dust moisture :: 5% to 6%


STARTING SPRAY DRYER

Close the exhaust chimney lamper. Start the main switch in panel board. Start exhaust fan. Open chimney damper after hearing voice of motor turner to delta mode. Inform the GTG section to open hot air damper. Start vibro, conveyor belt & bucket elevator. Open water value for plunger pump. Start the plunger pump when exhaust temperature reaches 200degreeC. Check moisture of powder. Increase the no. of guns, temp & pressure according to it.


SHUTDOWN SPRAY DRYER:-

Consumer all slip in feed tank. Close slip value. Open water value Stop remove the Vibro & belt Stop bucket elevators Inform GTG personal to close the not air damper Wash chamber of spray dryer Wash the feed tank


PARAMETERS:-

The following parameters are important for dust & slip also. Density of slip Residue of slip Granulometry of dust Moisture content of dust Viscosity of slip.


PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Spray dryer are used for continuous transformation of liquid feed in a dried production by spraying the feed into a stream of hot drying air. The feed slurry at controlled rate pumped and sprayed into the spray drying chamber through spray nozzles. The hot air from direct fired hot air generator comes in contact with the feed spray in a counter current passage down the drying chamber and gets dried into the solid product. The dried product is discharged through flap valve while fines are separated from air in high efficiency separator cyclones separator and is discharged through a rotary air lock cum discharge valve. The exhaust gases are treated for untapped product fines tecory in venture scrubber. The clean air is then vented to atmosphere through the exhaust chimney.

    what is the thickness spray dryer tank?
    i need to build a small scale spray dryer tank that can handle 2 bar pressure, 180 c...but i dont know what is the thickness...
