unit is started from 01-01-2002 and this unit also founded by Mr. Ganapathy G. Shenoy. It is located in Karnataka
Dist. Bidar distance from Bidar in Karnataka 17km.
In III unit (Paper
Mill) have to Regular employees 105. This unit has security protection and
provided to employees also I.D. Card and Uniform. The time Office keeps at all
the employees details in 3 shift and also general shift, the attendance on

Profile
We would like to introduce ourselves as the Company engaged
in the business of Security Printing. Promoted by technocrats, we are
specialized in SECURITY PRINTING like EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES, MARKS LISTS,
OMR SHEETS, ANSWER BOOKLET, ETC. for over 25 years.

The plant is
scientifically laid out, to facilitate smooth flow of production, from
pre-press operations of preparation of art work, color separation, plate
making, etc., to multi color printing with on-line error free security
numbering, and post printing operations of binding, pinning, cutting, packing
and dispatch. The entire Lottery Printing operations, right from design to dispatch
of printed tickets, is done under one-roof consisting of a built-up area of
around 50,000 sq. ft.

The plant
has four independent lines of Printing Machines - high speed multi color
web-offset machines - three of which are imported with on-line Security Numbering.
The specialist team manning these have capacity to print and dispatch close to more
than 10 million Educational Certificates or similar documents every day.

Now, that
there has been an increase in Counterfeiting or forging of Security Documents,
Gemini has directed its R and D efforts to minimize this epidemic. We are
working on various levels of Security, whose objective is to make
Counterfeiting very difficult and to keep us a step ahead of forgers on a
continuous basis. Some additional Security Features can be readily incorporated
as a result of our powerful R and D efforts in this critical area.
Some of the very sensitive Security Inks used for
Anti-Counterfeits Features are being formulated and also manufactured in-house.
Our own specialty and Anti-Counterfeit Paper Manufacturing
Plant has already gone into commercial production.
GGPL recruits it's employees through specially designed
Aptitude Tests which reveals about person's inherent strengths and weaknesses,
personality, like and dis-like, etc. Every candidate has to produce Police
Clearance Certificate before he is employed and thus candidates having criminal
records and negative attitude are eliminated in the beginning itself.
Presently, GGPL is employing more then 250 employees in Managerial,
Supervisory, Skilled, Un-skilled and other capacities. In this 3 are qualified
in Printing Technology, there are 2 qualified Engineers each in Mechanical and
Electrical Engineering. Apart from these, there is one Paper Technologist and
Ink specialist on Company's Rolls. GGPL has trained local man power to suit
it's requirements through specially designed training program's.

Gemini Graaphics Private Limited has been in the business
of Security Printing since 1984.
We print security documents for banks, universities and
state governments, as well as educational certificates, marks lists, OMR
sheets, etc.
Every facility in our company has been designed and
installed to ensure total Security and Confidentiality As a result, besides
security printing we also have our own plant to manufacture security paper and
a special division to formulate and make sensitive security inks. Our Security
Paper Manufacturing Plant is going through expansion and new paper making
machinery which is under installation can produce paper with High-Strength,
High-Security Multi-Dimensional Watermark and many other security features. Our
Research & Development Cell has developed several products and processes
which ensure that documents printed by us cannot easily be forged or copied or
tampered with.

2. SECURITY PAPER
To cater to the very special and sensitive needs of our
customers, we have our own plant to manufacture various kinds of security paper
products. We are the only security printer to have our own facility to manufacture
security paper.
To ensure that a document is not easily duplicated or
tampered with, we have developed security features which are built into the
paper at the time of manufacturing. Apart from high-quality watermarks, we can
manufacture paper which is sensitive to chemicals, special light sources, etc.
In Security Paper, a number of product options are
available: Fluorescent and Non-Fluorescent Fibers and chemical sensitization,
special security features such as watermarks, fibres and planchettes, etc.
Our new Paper Plant, which is under installation, can
produce paper with High-Strength, High-Security Multi-Dimensional Watermark and
many other security features.
The security papers are made according to customer
specifications and can incorporate several anti-forgery and anti-counterfeiting
features. We have the licenses to produce paper required for bank cheques and
instruments, with ISI Mark No. CM/L-6474176.
The products are accredited with Bureau of India Standards.
A. MICRO CHEQUE PAPER:
This paper is used for the printing of MICR bank cheques,
bank drafts and other bank instruments. It is suitable to run on high speed
reading and sorting machines. The plant has a licenses issued by the Indian
Standards Institute for the manufacture of MICR Cheque Paper with the ISI Mark.
It is made as per BIS standard and specifications laid down by Indian Banks
Association and Reserve Bank of India, The paper can also be made with our
standard watermark or the customer's watermark.
B. PARCHMENT PAPER:
This variety of paper is used for printing of security
documents like certificates, mark sheets, deposit receipts and other documents
which need to be stored for a long time and hence need more strength and a good
printable surface. It is available in the range of 100 gsm to 160 gsm, with or
without customized or standard watermark.

PAPER FOR BONDS, STAMPS, PASSPORTS
AND OTHER VALUE DOCUMENTS:
We also manufacture paper to suit special confidential
requirements and sensitive specifications. For obvious reasons, we cannot
reveal these paper varieties and the names of customers.
D. CUSTOMISED SECURITY PAPER:
We can manufacture paper to suit the customer's specific
security needs, incorporating watermarks, visible and invisible security
fibers, chemical sensitivity, special coatings and many other high-end security features.
3. SECURITY
INKS
The security inks formulated by us are for the exclusive
use of the customers whose documents are printed by us; the ink formulation for
each customer is unique. These formulations are secret and not made available
to the open market. The exclusive formulations include special effects like
Ranga Vividha with special combinations. We cannot list the products and the
customers here because they are meant to be strictly confidential.

All over the world, there has been an increase in the
counterfeiting and forging of security documents. Directing our R&D efforts
to fight this epidemic, we have developed a variety of additional features to keep
several steps ahead of the forgers. We have even formulated some highly
sensitive Security Inks, which we manufacture in-house. Besides, our own
specialty and anti-counterfeit paper manufacturing plant produces a wide range
of security paper. Our new Paper Plant, which is under installation, can
produce paper with High-Strength, High-Security Multi-Dimensional Watermark and
many other security features
Our anti-counterfeit security features are based on paper,
design, printing processes, inks, chemicals, etc. Some of the security features
are:
1. JALA MUDRA (WATERMARK) :
Special-effect imprint of your logo or name which cannot be
copied by any copier or computerized scanner, but it can be seen if it is held
against bright light.
2. NUMBER AARPAR (PENETRATING
NUMBER) :
Continuous Serial Number printed in the document appears in
different color on the back side and hence it is difficult to alter or change.
We have various type styles for numbering.
3. HIGH RESOLUTION BORDER :
Fine decorative border is printed on the document using
special software and this cannot be easily reproduced as the very tine lines used
are likely to break or get filled up while copying.
4. LOOK @ ANGLE :
Special-Effect Image can be seen easily if it is held at a
particular angle. This cannot be copied or scanned.
5. SPARSH PARIKSHA (TOUCH & TEST)
:
The matter or logo printed is visible to the naked eye, but
it will DISAPPEAR if it is touched or rubbed by hand or by blowing hot air, or
if it is kept under hot sun. The DISAPPEARED IMAGE will REAPPEAR in its
original form once the print comes back to normal room temperature.
6. SOORYA DARSHAN (EXPOSED to SUN)
:
In this case the image is invisible and appears only when
it is exposed to sunlight. It cannot be copied or scanned.
7. AQUA TEST (TEST WITH WATER) :
The printed image appears in one color to the naked eye. If
a drop of water is put on it, it appears in a different color. This a
non-reversible feature
8. MONEY SPEAKS (TEST WITH
COIN):
The image printed is not visible to the naked eye. It will
appear when it is rubbed with a metal coin. It is a non-reversible feature.
This effect cannot be reproduced by using a copier or scanner.
9. COPY-N-CHECK :
Words like copy or void can be incorporated in the document
using security printing software. These are not visible to the naked eye but if
the copy of the document is taken on a copier or a scanner the hidden letters
become visible in the copy. Cit)
10. MASK-A-PRINT
(TEST WITH FILM MASK):
Here the matter is printed with a special effect. It can be
seen only with the help of a special type of mask. This feature cannot be
copied by a copier or scanner.
11. SOOKSHMAKSHAR
(MICRO LETTER):
The printing of the text is done in very fine tiny letters
which cannot be seen by the naked eye but can be seen only with the help of a
powerful magnifying glass. The place of such printing is kept secret. It is very
difficult to copy such text.
12. U-Verify
(Test Under UV Light):
In this feature, the image printed is not visible to the
naked eye and cannot be copied by using a computerized scanner or color copier.
The image can be seen only under a certain range of ultraviolet.
13. INDRA DHANUSH
(RAINBOW EFFECT) :
‘The background of the document can be printed in
overlapping multi-shaded colors like in a rainbow. Such printing looks
beautiful and involves an intricate color combination which is difficult to copy.
14. RANG VIVIDHA
(CHANGING COLOURS):
The color of the printed image changes if it is viewed in a
specific range of ultraviolet light or in different temperatures.
15. BLIND
EMBOSSING:
The logo can be incorporated in a document in embossed
form. This cannot be easily copied by a copier or scanner since there will not
be any color printed on it.
16. HOT FOIL EMBOSSING:

on a 28-acre plot 15 km away from the printing plant and corporate office at
Bidar.

PAPER MILL CAPACITY: The plant has all the equipment to
manufacture a wide range of security papers to meet the requirements of a
variety of negotiable and value documents. The plant can produce 3000 tonnes of
high-security paper annually

PAPER MILL PLANT: The paper making plant, together
with stock preparation equipment, has been imported from Europe .

The unique design of the plant facilitates quick changeover
so that we can service orders for even small quantities (1 to 2 Metric Tonnes)
of watermarked paper.
Our new Paper Plant, which is under installation, can

Ø Sensitized cheque paper:
We have refined the process of manufacturing cheque paper,
both MICR arid Non-MICR, to optimize performance in the Bank Clearing System
and meet three paramount requirements:
a) Printability
b) Acceptance by high-speed readers
and sorters
c) Security
These requirements are detailed in the paper specifications
issued by BSI and IBA.
a) PRINTABILITY:
Our cheque paper is developed to be printed by dry and
conventional offset, and then personalized utilizing the new generation of
non-impact processes. to facilitate this the cheque paper is made very stable
and the moisture content and relative humidity are strictly controlled.
To ensure excellent adhesion of the magnetic ink character
recognition (MICR) line of the E13B character encoding on the cheque, an even
smoothness is essential as any voids or uneven reception of the magnetic ink
may result in incorrect signals in the reader or sorter and hence rejection in
the cheque clearing system. A smooth finish is one of the key characteristics
of our cheque paper.

the BIS specifications for cheque paper to meet the following exacting

To comply with the authorized BIS standard, cheque paper is
made without the use of Optical Bleaching Agent (OBA), thereby ensuring no
fluorescence when tested under ultraviolet light. It is incorporated with the
required range of special chemical reagents which are sensitive to acids,
alkalis, bleaches and solvents to ensure full compliance with the BIS
specifications.
c) SECURITY FEATURES:
Chemical Sensitization: Alterations can be made by removing
the original written information by using acids, bleaches, alkalis or solvents.
Sensitizing chemicals designed to react to acids, bleaches, alkalis and
solvents are incorporated into cheque paper internally or as surface applications.
Their function is to provide an immediate and clearly visible security reaction
to the wide variety of chemicals commonly used in the removal of written
information. Enhanced levels of solvent sensitizing are also available,
offering protection against a wider range of solvents.

Watermarking: Watermarking is available in three
levels of complexity — electrotype (line) watermarking, embossed multitude
watermarking, and a combination of both electrotype and embossed styles.
Ø
Security Fibers: Visible fibers are available in a
range of colors, fluorescent and non- fluorescent. Invisible fibers are unseen
in normal light, but fluoresce when irradiated by ultraviolet light.
Ø
Security Planchettes: Visible plainchants are offered in
a range of different colors, some fluorescent, others non-fluorescent and some
containing Silurian fibers. Invisible plainchants are unseen in normal light,
but fluoresce when irradiated by ultraviolet light.
Ø
Fluorescent Starlets: The fluorescent Starlets are
invisible in normal light and fluoresce when irradiated by ultraviolet light.

We have the in-house expertise and facilities to formulate
and manufacture very special and sensitive security inks. This facility ensures
that we can offer our customers printing with EXCLUSIVE INKS which are made
ONLY FOR THEM and which are not available wit', any other security - other
